After successfully opening four common study programmes with partner Ukrainian universities in Kharkov, Kyev, Uzhgorod and Chernivtsi, this academic year, management of SEMPA in collaboration with IT association of Slovakia and efficient support of Slovak Ambassy in Kyev and Honorary Consul of Slovak republic based in Odessa Mr. Muzalev Mykhayl Viktorovič, between 24th and 26th October 2019 went on business trip to Odessa and Mikolaiv.
Its objective was to visit new potential partners – universities, which offer both bachelor’s and master’s programmes focused on programming , IT and data analysis and have shown interest in cooperation on common study master’s programmes with Sempa , that are executed as a commitment to Digital coalition of Slovakia based on national order of Slovak IT sector under the leadership of Mário Lelovský, first vicepresident of IT association of Slovakia.
Thanks to involvement of honorary consul, who initiated and prepared meetings with representatives from universitiy boards, teachers and students, meetings were held at Odessa National Maritime university, and three universities in Mikolaiv, namely National university of Skomlin, Makarov National university and University of Peter Mogily.
At these meetings Mr Lelovsky and Mr Cibak presented importance, activities and tasks of IT Association of Slovakia and Digital coalition and its focus, organization and benefits of common study master´s programmes offered by Ukrainian partners at SEMPA in Bratislava.
The outcome of these meetings was not only positive reaction and real interest of participating universities , but particularly students´interest in these study programmes, which makes us believe, that in cooperation with ITAS we can further develop and strenghten internationalization of university education for real needs of IT sector of Slovak republic.
