On April 9, 2024, at the occasion of 20. anniversary of the founding of the university, BUEM hosted Solemn meeting of the Scientific council of BUEM. During the meeting, rector of Simon Kuznets Kharkiv National University of Economics (KHNUE), prof. Volodymyr Ponomarenko, DrSc. was awarded with the title of Honorary Doctor of the Bratislava University of Economics and Management. Title of Honorary Doctor of Simon Kuznets Kharkiv National University of Economics was awarded to rector of BUEM, assoc. prof. Ing. Ľuboš Cibák, PhD. MBA.
