With the participation of members of the Scientific Councils and Academic Senates throughout BUEM´s 20-year history, the Ceremonial Academy: Extended Meeting of the Scientific Council and Academic Senate of BUEM took place on November 28, 2024, on the university’s premises. The Vice-Rector for Pedagogical Activities and Lifelong Learning, prof. h. c. prof. Ing. Monika Hudáková, PhD. MBA, welcomed the Rector of BUEM, Dr. h. c. Assoc. prof. Ing. Ľuboš Cibák, PhD. MBA, the university’s founder and Rector Emeritus, Dr. h. c. prof. Ing. Viera Cibáková, CSc., as well as other distinguished guests, including representatives from Slovak and international educational institutions. A prominent guest at the event was the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria, His Excellency Vassil Petkov.
One of the invited guests was prof. Ing.- econ. Daniela Todorová, PhD., Rector of Todor Kableshkov University of Transport in Sofia, who received the honorary title Doctor honoris causa from the Rector of BUEM during the ceremonial academy held on the occasion of the university’s 20th anniversary.
The extended meeting of the Scientific Council and Academic Senate of BUEM continued with speeches from invited guests and focused on reflecting on the educational achievements of past years. Many attendees expressed respect and gratitude for the university’s activities and collaborations to date while highlighting its key accomplishments. They wished VŠEM continued success, stability, growth, talented and motivated students, modernization in the field of information trends, and the continuation of its important mission—to remain a place where dreams come true and where people acquire the skills to change the world for the better.
