On 15 December 2024, the inauguration ceremony of "China-Slovakia Silk Road College" was held in the conference room S5 at the BUEM. This event aimed to celebrate the partnership between China and Slovakia in the fields of education, innovation and cultural exchange.
The event started with a short video-presentation about the Silk Road College, which showed the significant milestones leading to the creation of this institution.
Rector of the Bratislava University of Economics and Management (BUEM), Dr.h.c. assoc. prof. Ing. Ľuboš Cibák, PhD. MBA, emphasized in his speech the importance of international cooperation in the field of education and the opportunities that this partnership opens for students and teachers.
The President of Ningbo University of Finance and Economics (NBUFE), prof. Wang Haohan, then shared his views on the common goals and values of Silk Road College, emphasizing the importance of education and cultural exchange.
The highlight of the event was the unveiling ceremony of Silk Road College, which symbolized the long-standing friendship and cooperation between the two universities. Subsequently, a strategic cooperation agreement was signed between Gotion High-Tech Co. Ltd., BUEM and NBUFE, officially concluding the partnership to promote cooperation between the academic and business sectors.
Vice Minister of the Chinese Ministry of Education, Mr. Wu Yan, and State Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Research, Development and Youth of the Slovak Republic, Mr. Róbert Zsembera, both shared their thoughts and words of encouragement, which reinforced the importance of this initiative. The "China-Slovakia Silk Road College" thus not only symbolizes the strong cooperation between China and Slovakia, but also opens up new possibilities and perspectives for future generations. We look forward to the next steps in this mutual cooperation and the new successes it will bring!
