On Wednesday, 22 April 2026, Bratislava University of Economics and Management had the honor of welcoming H.E. Michael Karagiorgis, Ambassador of Cyprus to the Slovak Republic. His visit provided students with a valuable opportunity to gain insight into Cyprus’s role within the European Union through his lecture entitled “2026 Cyprus Presidency of the EU: Priorities, Challenges and Achievements.”

On April 16, 2026, Bratislava University of Economics and Management (BUEM) successfully completed realization of research projects funded by the European Union. The projects responded to a call announced by the Government Office of the Slovak Republic, acting as the Implementing Body for Component 9 of the Recovery and Resilience Plan, entitled: “Scholarships for excellent researchers endangered by the war conflict in Ukraine.” The aim of the call was to support excellent researchers whose careers have been jeopardized by the war in Ukraine in establishing themselves in Slovakia. 

Dear Colleagues, on the occasion of the Easter holidays, the Rector of the BUEM, Dr.h.c. assoc prof. Ing. Ľuboš Cibák, PhD. MBA is granting all employees and students a Rector´s Day Off on Thursday, April 2 and Tuesday, April 7, 2026. 

On Tuesday, 17 March 2026, Bratislava University of Economics and Management had the honour of welcoming Her Excellency Maria João Lopes-Cardoso, Ambassador of Portugal to the Slovak Republic. Her visit provided students with a valuable opportunity to gain insight into contemporary diplomatic practice and the international position of Portugal.
