Quality in all processes and activities is among the highest priorities of the Bratislava University of Economics and Management (BUEM). BUEM, in line with its mission, ensures and is responsible for the quality of the provided higher education, as well as for the quality of conducted research and other creative activities. The assurance and improvement of quality and its systematic implementation in all activities are ensured by the internal quality system, which builds upon the internal quality system of BUEM and reflects European standards and standards of the Slovak Accreditation Agency for Higher Education (SAAVŠ). The pillars of the internal system of BUEM include linking higher education with scientific knowledge, current demands of economic and societal practices, and a focus on the student and their needs.
The implementation of the internal system, as well as its outcomes, are regularly monitored for the purpose of its systematic improvement and development. An important tool for its systematic improvement is the evaluation of student feedback regarding their satisfaction with the provided education and other aspects of their university experience at BUEM.
The internal quality assurance system at BUEM was approved by the BUEM Academic Senate and the BUEM Scientific Board after its previous internal review by the Accreditation Council of BUEM, in accordance with the requirements of the law on quality assurance in higher education and accreditation standards published by the Slovak Accreditation Agency for Higher Education, as per this law.
